Tiakitahuna
From Our Own Correspondent. The monthly meeting of the Tiakilaliuna AA'Omen’s Institute took place on Friday afternoon, Mrs. Davies presiding over a fair attendance. A new member (Mrs. Rendell) was welcomed. Mrs. D. Rowland gave a very interesting report on the council meeting held at Pahiatua on Thursday. The competition for the day was for the best decorated table vase of'flowers and the winners proved to he Mrs. D. Buchanan first, while Mrs. Vautier and Mrs. McEwen tied for second place. Airs. N. P. Nielsen gave a talkj on dressmaking, giving members many
helpful hints on cutting out. A roll call, s inS e av, whistle or penny pay, caused a great deal of merriment. The hostesses, Mesdames H. Igglesden and A. Buchanan, served a dainty afternoon tea, aftei which a hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mrs. Nielsen and a pleasant afternoon closed with the National Anthem.
