HOROWHENUA SUCCESSES AT WAIRARAPA SHOW Per Press Association. CARTERTON, Oct. 26. * Yesterday the weather was glorious for the opening of the 57th annual Wairarapa Show, and there were record entries in. practically all classes. Compared with any previous show, the stock exhibits show a pronounced improvement in uality, the judges commenting on • improvement. Ve»y keen competition has taken place in all classes, pointing to a most successful event. The weather to-day is overcast and threatening. The following championship awards were made yesterday: — CATTLE. Red Polls.—Cow, - Albert Martin (Manakau), Kahutu Star Joy; reserve, 11. G. Bryant (Manakau), Waitahu Mona. Jerseys.—Bull, W. H.
