Mr. E. E. Short, of Feilding, has been elected to fill a vacancy on tho committee of the Feilding Jockey Club. It was reported at yesterday’s meeting of the executive of the Feilding Unemployment Committee that the'registered unemployed in Feilding now totalled 205, as against 220 when the committee last met The Mayor (Mr. C. E. Taylor) said that this could possibly be taken as an indication of an easing up in the number of registratrations.
