Prom Our Own Correspondent. The weekly practice shoot was held on Monday night. There was a fair attendance and the standard of shooting was up to a good average. The winners of the Prislc buttons for this week were E. Lurnsden and W. Jenkins .equal for the A grade, and Keith Lurnsden, B grade. Detailed scores were as follow:—Keith Dumsden 70, 69—139; K. Lurnsden 70, 68 —138; W. Jenkins 69, 69—138; K. Pearce 69, 68—137; J. Davey 68, 69—137; H. McKegney 6S, 67 —135; P. Lurnsden 6G, 69 135; P. Gedye 67, 68—135; E. Lurnsden 66, 68—134; M. The seventh round was fired for the Wanganui Association’ postal shoot. To date the results of only the first three rounds have been published. As the sandon teams are well to the fore the results of the succeeding shots are anxiously awaited . Basketball Club Dance. A successful dance, organised by the Sandon Ladies' Basketball Club, was held on Tuesday night. There was a large attendance, visitors being present from Bulls, Eongotea and Carnarvon. Music for (lancing was supplied by a professional orchestra and numerous novelty and competition dances added to the gaiety of the evening. The side room had been comfortably arranged for cards for those who did not care to dance. Messrs Ken Lurnsden and C. Sanson proved themselves capable M.’sC. The various competition dances resulted as follow; —Lucny spot waltz, Miss J. Masters and Mr. E. Harris; Monte Cano fox trot, Miss M. uppatt and Mr. D. Hammond; statue military two step, Miss J. nutier and Mr. jp. mmmuu l; Monte Cano waltz, Miss J. Fagan and Mr. E. Signal; lucny spot waltz, Mrs. Karl Bowater and Mr. E. JNicol.
