Mrs, "EL C, Morgan, 72 Fditherstoae street, was the hostess last week at a' very pleasant social function when the opportunity wa3 taken to • welcome to the city Mrs. F. G. Major, wife of the new manager of the Bank of New Zealand. Tho enjoyment of music and competitions passed a very happy afternoon. Mrs. Morgan was gowned in a handsome model frock of red georgette and lacc. The guests included Mesdamcs Major, Wesney, Stubbs, Kennedy, Wilson, Guinness, Laird, Beal, McKinley, Millar, Ashley, Taylor, -Tres.aider and Gardner and Miss Pollard.
