New Signalling Device
An efficient signalling device which gives directions closely approaching those given by the human hand, lias been placed on the English market. It consists of a hollow celluloid hand, of about the same size as a man ’s hand, it is nicely moulded, and carries inside a bulb which can be illuminated at night, when the hand glows. The control is a, small, easily-operated lever secured to tho steering column or on the dashboard, whichever position is more convenient. The operation of the control is in a logical order, namely, if a left-hand signal, is needed the control is turned that way; for turning to the right, the control is turned to the righhand side, and 30 on. It is also possible to give a pass signal to overtaking drivers, in which case the hand beckons in a perfectly natural manner; for slowing down the hand can be made to move up and down between tho horizontal and vertical planes.
