On Saturday Oroua Downs “A” continued their match against Foxton Fire Brigade. Fire Brigade completed their innings commenced on the previous Saturday ,bringing their total up to 187. Oroua Downs “A” then batted,
the following being the scores: —Cowdrey, b Downs 2; Albrey, b Downs IS; Nichols,. 1.b.w., b Downs 25; Eeay, c . Downs, b Huff 6; Scott, b Downs 2; N. Bailees 1.b.w., b Downs 0; Toogood, b Downs 4; Jarvis, b HufE 0; Cook, b Carmont 0; Cotton, b Huff 0; Dench, not out 0; extras .1; total 58. The local Women's Institute held a picnic on Mr. Berg’s property on Friday, when a very enjoyable time was spent by all.
