Jockey Killed

THROWN FROM HORSE Per Press Association AUCKLAND, Jan. 26. An. apprentice jockey, Gerald Edwards, aged 18, attached to tne stables of Mr. P. E. Pope at Takaniui, was killed this morning. Ho was riding Substation in company with Spoedmint when his mount stumbled. Edwards was thrown _ to the ground, tho horse falling on him. His skull was fractured, death being instantaneous.
