The Irish olection issue is still uncertain as the parties are unable to guess how the small farmers will vote. The honours of the campaign belong to tho Dianna Fail, whose publicity, organisation and strategy is described as superior to that of the Cosgraveites. . Mr Do Valera, despite his disastrous record, lias forced Mr Cosgravo to stand on tho defensive against charges of secret agreements and surrender to England. The Centre party is likely to attract many farmers’ votes. Odds Slightly in Cosgrave’s Favour Received Tuesday, 9.30 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 24. Tho Times’ Dublin correspondent emphasises that tho election issue is doubtful. On a straight vote Mr. Cosgrave is assured of a working majority but proportional representation may produco a different result although the odds are slightly in his favour. Counting begins on Wednesday unu it is expected the small constituencies will bo known by the evening but tho completo results will not be available till the week-end.
