From Our Own Correspondent. Messrs. B. H. Gavin, A. Martin and F. Cowley;, members of the Fox*ton Tennis Club, have entered for the annual tournament of tho Manawatu Lawn Tennis Association, which opened at Palmerston North on Saturday. Rev. Father Brennan, of St..Mary’s, sailed from Wellington on Friday on a holiday visit to Ireland. Prior to his departure from Fox ton he was tho recipient of a presentation from his Shannon and Tokomaru parishioners, which was accompanied by their best wishes for an enjoyablo holiday and a safe return.

Mrs. A. Heasman, of Wellington, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. J. L. Proctor, of Russell street. Mr. P. J. Smith, of Napier, is at present on a visit to Foxton. Mrs. S. Head, of Wellington, is at present visiting Foxton.
