Captain Hope has telegraphed his committee that he is continuing the ground search for Hinkler, but requires tko assistance of two Englishmen. May Have Hit Mountain Received Sunday 10.30 p.m. GENEVA, Jan. 21. Captain Hope’s ground search at Valais for Bert Hinkler did not confirm the aerial suspicion that he saw the outlino of an aeroplane. Tho noted Swiss airman Mittelholzer is of tho opinion that Hinkler was bewildered by tho mountain fog, with which he was unacquainted. He probably struck an ice barrier. The journal Midi interviewed one of Lady Bailey’s rescuers, who said she was very pale and was worn out by the effort of flying when sho wa3 not too well. Sho was only able to crawl out of the cockpit with great difficulty. She had eaten practically nothing since she landed.
