The influenza epidemic is unabated. There have been several instances of husband and wife dying within a few hours of each other, and of doctors succumbing after overworking. Businesses are being carried on with skeleton staffs, and schools and cinemas are closed in many towns. Tho latest sufferers include Rt. Hon. Arthur Henderson, formerly leader of the Parliamentary Labour Party, Rt. Hon George Lansbury, Leader of the Labour Party, Rt. Hon. D. Lloyd George and family.
Law Courts business was almost suspended in London yesterday, owing to the illness of lawyers, witnesses and officials.
Tho epidemic lias spread to the Continent. There have been many deaths in the west of Germany.
