Palmerston Band’s Success at Napier

WINS TEST AND QUICKSTEP

The Palmerston North Garrison Band’s junior combination, consisting entirely of young players, journeyed to Napier on Saturday to take part in the C grade contost organised in. connection with tho "New Napier” carnival, and had the distinction of winning both the quickstep and test competitions. One of the judges, Mr. P. Toms, expressed high appreciation of the band’s performance, and considered its playing would have won a place in the B grade competition. Conductor Pike is to be congratulated on the success achieved with his junior combination.
