Serious Motor Collision

BOY SERIOUSLY INJURED

Master Patrick Shortall, aged 15 years, son of Mr. James Shortall, of Colyton, was seriously injured at about 10.20 o'clock yesterday morning when a baby Austin car driven by him was knocked into by a heavier car driven by Mr. R. N. Bowles, of Feilding. Tho collision occurred on the corner of Monmouth and Lytton streets, Feilding, Master Shortall proceeding from Monmouth street into Lytton street and Mr. Bowles proceeding along Lytton street. Tho small car was caught in the rear and turned over several times, the injured boy receiving severe cuts on the face, abrasions and other injuries. He was removed to the Feilding private hospital for attention and his condition is regarded as serious.
