It is learned that the Australian Government purchased 103,000 dollars’ worth of Commonwealth stocks in tho month of November for retiring purposes at prices between 60 and 70 per cent. Tho market was then particularly low due to debt discussions. The deal resulted in considerable savings to the Government.
