Alrs. A. Collins, of Hastings, wno been visiting Air. and Airs. Gonnop, Ferguson street, returned home yesterday. Aliss Adeline Hare, who has been «« a visit to Airs. T. Alorris, Rcmucra, Auckland, returned to her home in Feilding on Thursday. Aliss B. Ashenden, of W'ellington, is visiting Palmerston North and is the guest of Airs. Braniwell, of Bourke street. The Alisses L. and E. Warren, of Palmerston North, who have been visiting Airs. J. I. N. Alackic in Kumcroa, have returned to Fitzherbert avenue. Airs. Ray Bailey and her niece, Aliss Alarion Williams, of Feilding, arc spending a few days in Wellington and aro tho guests of the former’s mother, Mrs. H. Clark.
Aliss Alolly Oakley, of Palmerston North, left on Wednesday for the south to visit friends in Oamaru and Dunedin. Aliss Oakley expects to be away for several weeks. Airs. W. J. Day, who has been in hospital, has now returned to her home, Al'argarct street, very much improved in health, her many friends will be glad to know. Aliss P. Liddell, the well-known soprano, whose voice has pleased local audiences on many occasions, has been engaged by the Alasterton Choral (Society for “The Messiah” on November 26. The contralto solos in the Alasterton Choral (Society's presentation of “The Alcssiah’’ at the end of the month will be taken by Airs. C. Findlay, of Park road. Air's. Findlay has appeared before local audiences -with considerable success, and her voice should be well suited to tho oratorio music.
