The Prince k Belfast HIS TRIBUTE TO NORTHERN IRISHMEN NEW PARLIAMENT HOUSE OPENED. (Official Wireless). RUGBY, Nov. 16. Immense crowds assembled in Belfast to-day from all parts of Ulster to greet the Prince of Wales, who received a tumultuous welcome when he landed on the quayside from the Ulster Queen. The Prince proceeded immediately to tho new Parliament Buildings, where lie performed the opening ceremony. He passed through dense crowds and gaily-decorated streets. During the ceromony, the Prince said his father’s earnest prayer was that they should meet tho difficulties confronting' the world, as well as their cwn special problems, with tho courage, and tenacity, loyalty and devotion for which Northern Irishmen were famous. Tho Prince later proceeded to the City Hall, where addresses of welcome were delivered. He will stay in Ulster for three days. Railway Torn Up LONDON, Nov. 16. A section of tho Great Northern Railway near Virginia, County Cavan, was ripped up last night to prevent Free State excursionists from visiting Belfast to welcome the Prince of Wales. Red flags and notices warned that the line had been ripped and mined. A placard read: “Ireland belongs to tho Irish, north and south.’’ The telegraph lino was also cut.
