Restraint on Trade

ANTI-TRUST LEGISLATION TO BE REVIEWED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Advice from Mr. Coates that ho intended to go into the matter of reconstituting the Board of Trade Act, Commercial Trusts Act and Cost of Living Act was reteived at a meeting to-day of tho executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce. Mr. Coates said he was pleased to repeat the assuranco that iu his opinion such clauses as might be considered detrimental to tho wclfaro of the community would be very seriously reviewed. It might well be that the consolidation of all the enactments complained of, reserving those clauses which, were essential, would be the most satisfactory way of reviewing tho matter. Ho would bo pleased to take tho matter up with the Prime Minister at tho first suitable opportunity, and regretted that he was not able to bo present at the deputation recently received by the Prime Minister on the subject. The importance of giving confidence to the business community compatible with the interests of the country as a whole was never more important than it was to-day.
