State’s Offers to Princess Helene
HONORARIUM at pre-economy BATES. PERMISSION TO SEE HER SON AND VISIT ROUMANIA United Press Association —By Electric Tele graph— C opyright. BUCHAREST, Oet. 30. The Government has offered Princess Helene (the formor wife of King Carol, of Roumania) the following conditions, without alternatives:— Firstly: A sum equal to what sho received prior to the reduction of the entire civil list and State employees' salaries, or nearly £14,000. Secondly: Permission to see her son, the Crown Prihco Michael, in Switzerland for a month yearly. Thirdly: Permission to visit Roumania, residing where the Government desires. Princess Helene will be given until to-morrow to reply.
It was recently reported that King Carol appealed to Princess Helene, in the interests of the wolfare of their son, to agree to annulment of the divorce and a joint coronation. Helene was reported to be willing for a reconciliation on condition that Mme. Lupescu disappeared from the life of the court.
