North Wellington Branch Of Civil Engineers
The North Wellington branch of the New Zealand Society of Civil Engineers held its annual meeting at Stratford, amongst those present being Messrs J. E. Monzies and J. R. Hughes (Palmerston North). Mr. J. Keller presided. Officers elected were as follow: President, Mr. R. R. Dawson (Wanganui); secretary, Mr. C. W. Rapson (Wanganui); committoe, Messrs Monzies, Dix, Keller, Harris, and .J. Blackwood (Shannon). Wanganui was selected as the next meeting place. Papers were read by Mr. Mclvor on the construction of reinforcod concrete bridges in the Egmont county, Mr. Spence on .the central heating bitumen plant, Mr.. Matheson on electrical matters, and Mr. Tiffen on the Hautapu river bridge.
