LOVE SONG MUST WAIT.

DECISION OF THE V.R.C. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOUNE, Wednesday. The Victoria Racing Club has decided to reject the nomination of the New Zealand-bred gelding Love Song until such time as certain difficulties in regard to his lease have been overcome. Love Song was not allowed to start at Flcmington last Saturday. SALE OF RACEHORSES. Bidding was very slow at (he thoroughbred sale held at Ellerslic on Monday morning, and only a lew lots changed hands. There was a good attendance, but apparently not many were there to buy. Among thoso passed were High Comedy, Royal Artist, Helium, True Blood, Topstar, Sir Alond, and Cynthia N. Tea Trader was on the catalogue, but was not offered. DEATH OF GLENTKUIN. A southern message reports the death of the imported mare Glentruin, whiefi occurred at Otautau on Friday last. Glentruin was one of the best sprinters the Dominion has had, and among hoi successes were two successive C.J.O. Stewards’ Handicaps, on the second occasion under 9.6, the second highest weight that has been carried to victory in the event. She w-as also successfully raced in Australia. She was retired to the stud in 1920, and her only progeny were Lochlaggan (by AVoodend) and now a yearling sister to Lochlaggan.
