How to Smooth Crank Pins

An oval crank pin cannot be made truly circular by using emery cloth; but this process can bo used for smoothing up a pin which has bceomo scored or otherwise damaged. The best way of. doing this is to cut a picco of emery paper the length of the crank pin and wrap it round the pin end. Put a turn of cord round the pin. By pulling alternately on each end of the cord the cloth will rotate round the pin, smoothing out the damaged part.
