Apart from isolated attacks and excitemont over the round-up of hundreds of riot suspects conditions aro normal again in Bombay after soven days of murder, looting and arson. The casualties total 146 dead and 1657 injured. Alany of the streets in the Aloslem and Hindu quarters are still littered with debris from the looting, but confidence has been restored and many of the ten thousand citizens who fled from the city are returning.
