Foxton Talkies

A scribe with a nautical turn of mind has given his conception of “Meet the Wife,’’ showing at the Foxton talkies to-night. This is his version of the matter: °The dominating wife, played by Laura la Plante, is the captain of the good ship Matrimony. Low Cody, one of the husbands, is first and third mate. Harry Myers is second mate. Edgar Norton, as the butler, is the bos’n tight, the midshipmite and the crew of the fancy brig. Audiences will keep afloatj in a sea of fun without the aid of a life or laugh preserver. Christie produced this screen feature of matrimonial merriment for Columbia Pictures. Also to be screened are “Butler and Yeggman” (comedy), “Bars and Stripes’’ (cartoon), and a newsreel.
