Stock Sales
The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Distributing Co., Ltd., reports having held a very successful marked heii-j er sale at Marton on Thursday last. Working in conjunction with the Manawatu Co-op. Group Herd Testing Association the firm had a veTy good entry, considering the fact that it was the first sale of its kind held in the district, and the prices realised fully demonstrated the fact that marked wcaners will command a much higher price than those unmarked, and should encourage more farmers to test. The top price, £-1, was obtained by two different vendors, Messrs. O. M. Tamplin, of Foxton, and A. E. Sandilands, of Kiwitea. Other prices were: Account J. D. Patterson, to £3 2/6; account F. G. Schwartz, to £2 15/; account G. Young, to £3 10/; account A. H. Houghton, to £2 5/; ac-, count M. W. Hunt, to £3 2/6; account W. Andrews, to £2 1/; account H. D Arthur, to £3 7/6; account N. Chowen to £2 2/; account J. F. Mayo, to £3; account W. H. Emmcrson, to £3 //6; ac--1 count R. G. Burgess, to £2.
