INVESTIGATION OP AFFAIRS UNDER WAY. San Francisoo Press Broadcast. NEW YORK, April 20. An investigation of Lee Iligginson and Company, American bankers for Ivar Kreuger, the Swedish match king, and their part in the distribution of more than 400,000,000 dollars in Kreuger securities to American investors is being made by the United States postal authorities and the New York Stock Exchange. This was learned today.
This is the first official American investigation in the tangled affairs of the Match King, whose suicide brought a collapse of his industrial empire and a. loss of more than a billion dollars to investors in all parts of the world. The investigations abroad already have disclosed wholesale bribery of high Government officials, juggling of books and colossal fraud.
