Willard Home

BOARD OF MANAGEMENT. The Willard Home Board of Afanagement met on Alonday afternoon at St. Andrew’s Memorial hall. Airs. E. Collins presided. Others present were Mcsdames E. 'Birdsall (hon. secretary and treasurer), H. E. Pacey, AI. Aitehison, T. R. Hodder, J. AJcLcavcy, J. Nathan, A. Burges, E. Bett, D. Watson and C. F. Spooner. Apologies for absence were received from Alesdamcs E. 0, Barnett, G. H. Bennett and C. Ferguson. Routine business was transacted and the acting-matron (Mrs. Coleman) reported that the health of the children was good and everything was proceeding satisfactorily.

It was reported that funds for maintenance were very low; in fact not sufficient to cover wages. The matter of raising finance was discussed and it was decided that the utmost should be done to secure a large attendance at, the function arranged by the Women’s Christian Temperance Union to take placo on Friday on behalf of rhe board’s funds.
