You are honest with yourself, look things squarely in the face and say: “There am II The real me! Am I entitled to happiness? You are fair! If you cheat others, how can you expect'contentment? You pay your bills. The woman in debt cannot hope for happiness! You always try to make someone else happy! Even “henpecked” men arc sometimes happy, bocau.se they know they are doing their best to make their partners happy. You are fit and well! Keep your
body sound and the joy of living vvill be yours! You have a clear conscience. If you resort to mean tricks, it is impossible to find happiness! You keep your house in order. How can. happiness enter a dirty home? You put your best into your work. The knowledge that you have deliberately “slacked” is bound to make you unhappy, whereas contentment comes with work well done
