Murder Suspect Has Another Narrow Escape
RESIDENTS DECLARE THEY WILL LYNCH HIM. United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Monday, 7.50 p.m. SYDNEY, April IS. During the week-end the hunt for the man wanted in connection with the murder of Wilkinson and Miss Denzel was zealously continued, mounted troopers in private clothes assisting the foot police and private citizens. A section of tho latter openly declare they will lynch the man if they catch him. The police to-day missed their quarry by only half an hour in the scrub lands of Dumbleton, an outer suburb. A local citizen named Edwin Robinson, who is acquainted with the wanted man, was crossing a paddock when the fugitive jumped up and disappeared in the scrub some distance away, 'me police who searched the whole of this arok» yesterday were summoned and inspected the spot without, avail.
Mr. Robinson states' that when he obtained a glimpse of the man he was lying under some undergrowth with his hands tucked under Iris head like a pillow.
