Colyton

From Our Own Correspondent. On 'Wednesday evening tho Oroua bridge at Colyton was the scene of a collision between a car driven by Mr. W. Power, of: Colyton, and one driven by Air. T. Hope, of Fcilding. The occupants fortunately escaped without injury, but. the cars were extensively damaged. The annual meeting of the Colyton ping pong club was held in the Colyton hall on Monday evening last. The president, Mr. T. Wales, presided over a good attendance. The balance sheet for the past season was read and revealed a very satisfactory state of affairs. It was decided to open the season to-morrow (Tuesday.)

Tho following officers were elected: President, Mr. T. Wales; secretary, Miss W. Wales; club captain, Mr. W. Hockcn; committee, Mrs. J. Williamson, Messrs. L. Ilockenu, AY, Bussell, C. Burr and J. AVcalleans.
