St. John’s Church Jubilee

CHILDREN’S EVENING A very large gathering of children from all"parts of the parish took part in tho special social arranged for them in connection with St. John’s Anglican Church jubilee. The children assembled at the parish hall ,on Friday evening, -Mr. H. Smithcrs, superintendent. of the main Sunday school, presiding. Rev. W. F. Stent and Rev. IV. Tye, who at different periods were assistant curates at Fcilding, visited Fcilding especially for the gathering — Mr. Stent from Carterton and Mr. Tyc from Duric Hill —and addressed the children. A very jolly celebration concluded a little after i) o’clock.
