ST. ANDREW’S CLUB HOLD ANNUAL MEETING. Mr. T. B. Worrall presided over the annual meeting of St. Andrew’s Association Football Club, there being a good attendance. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Rev. G. T. Brown; president, Mr. A. J. Graham; vicepresidents, Messrs T. B. Worrall, A. Cooper, F. W. Coombs, J. Freeman, G. Houston, E. Cross, W. Allen, W. Jacques and J. C. Young; treasurer, Mr. G. Houston; secretary, Mr. H. Hart; auditor, Mr. F. W. Coombs; committee, Messrs G. Houston, If. Hart, T. B. Worrall, J. Freeman, A. Cooper; captain, R. Corkindalc; vice-captain, B. McShcffrcy; delegates to Manawatu Football Association, Messrs H. Locke and A. Cooper.
The annual report and balance sheet were presented and were adopted. The previous season was the best the club has experienced for many years, having an unbeaten Teco'rd in the local championship, winning the Chinese championship and knock-out cups. Owing to the depression the financial side of the club was not up to expectations, showing a small deficit. However, with co-operation from players and committee tho outlook seems favourable, and it is to bo . hoped that the deficit will be wiped out during the present season. The club represented Manawatu in the Chatham Cup series, and after beating Athletic (Wanganui) succumbed after a good game to the Wellington champions, Petone. Tho club this season is again sponsoring St. Paul’s sth grade club. ” '
