The Indian Assembly at New Delhi rejected by 62 to 44 the Opposition’s censure motion in connection with the promulgation of tho recent emergency ordinances and the arrest of Gandhi and other Congress leaders, thus endorsing the Government’s policy. Gandhi’s son Devi has been arrested at a railway station in Punjab while on route to the North-West Frontier.
