Charles Rogers in 'Heads Up'
The fairy talc of the sleeping beauty was rc-cnacted each day during the productiou of “Heads Up.” Fifty of New York’s most beautiful chorus girls aro in the cast. Most of them toiled in Broadway musical comedies at night and reported at the studio in the daytime, so they took their sleep where they found it —und they slept! No mutter how much noise was being made by carpenters, sccno shifters and electricians ou tho set, a large number of the girls were to be found between scenes curled up in chairs, divans, window seats and cosy corners in sound slumber. Tho fair}'' priucc in this story was Director Victor Sehertzingcr. When he shouted “Camera!’’ in His deep bass voice the girls came out of dreamland with a start and ran to their places with not a sleepy eye among them. It’s a gift. Charles Rogers, Helen Kane, Victor Moore, Margaret Breen and others of the cast were so busy rehearsing between scenes that they had no time for slumber. Tho screening tomorrow will bo “Once a Gentleman,” starring Edward Everett Horton and Lois Wilson. It is a clover, breezy comedy, and a matinee will be held at 2.30 p.m.
