Rongotea

EUCHRE AND DANCE. The usual fortnightly euchre and dance in connection with the Anglican Church funds was very well attended on Tuesday evening. Progressive euchre occupied the time until 10 o’clock, Miss M. Rose winning the ladies’ prize. Mr. E. Hobbs and Mr. J. Mcarns tied in the play-off. Mr. J. Mearns was the winner. Consolation awards were handed to Mrs. Frank Wright and Mr. Burne. A dainty supper was served after which the floor was cleared and dancing was indulged in to music generously supplied by Miss E. Hansen and Miss D. Harvey. A musical parcel post was won by Mrs. Walker. At a subsequent meeting of newlyelected directors of' the Rongotea Dairy Company held after tho annual meeting on Wednesday, Mr. F. C. Burgess was elected chairman.
