CROSS COUNTRY RUN. United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Sunday 5.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Aug. IG. The State cross country 10,000 metres run w-as won by J. Sheaves who took 34min. 57soes. for the distance. J. Patterson (37.7) was second and Chris Pattorsoii (35.12) third. M. J. McKenzie, the title holder (35.20), was fourth. The race was won brilliantly by 50 yards.
