Chide was among the fifteen starters but though finishing fast was unable to make up the lost ground. Movie Star was sore in the three-year-old handicap but ran well though unplaced. The Rosehill Flying Handicap resulted: — AMMON RA, 8.4 (McCarton) .. 1 LEGISLATOR, 8.0 (Johnstone) .. - SUNLIT REEF, 7.7 (Weiss) .... 3 Fifteen started. Won easily in 1.14. Spoarshot fell in the Rosehill Handicap, broke a shoulder and was destroyed.
