ENGAGEMENT TO SCOTLAND YARD COLLEAGUE

LONDON, Aug. 3. The engagement is announced of Sir Trevor Bigliam, Assistant-Commissioner of Police, and Miss Edith Drysdale, Viscount Byng’s private secretary at Scotland Yard, who is the repository of more secrets than any other woman in England, having been secretary to three commissioners since she joined the service at the age of 20. Sir Trevor is the second son of the first Viscount Mersey and was born in 1876. Ho was married in 1901 to Miss Leonora Tomlin, who died in 1927. He has been Assistant-Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police since 1914.
