Revenue From Smoke

United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 9.15 p.m. .SYDNEY, Aug. 32. Tobacco smokers in Australia last year contributed more than £0,000,000 to the Commonwealth revenue, so an authority here has stated. Few smokers realised that when they bought a two ounce packet of Virginia leaf tobacco, they contributed Hid to tho revenue, while more than 3d was the revenue contribution from sixpenny packets of cigarettes.
