Savage Raid for Central Relief Fund
Variety will be a feature of the programme arranged by the Manawatu Savage Club for its public korero in aid of the Central Relief Funds, to be held in the Opera house on Wednesday, August 19. The club has some talcfited members who may be expected to provide an evening of high-class entertainment, and the public are advised to book early when the box plan opens next Monday. The dish of entertainment will be well seasoned with novel stunts, for which the club has earned a reputation throughout the Dominion, and those who seek a serious item will be disappointed. The opening of the korero will in itself be most unique, and the warriors of tbo tribe are already decked in their war paint, and are busy with rehearsals. An amusing play will be one of tho features of the programme, while the burlesque items should cause much merriment. Further particulars of the programme will be published later.
