Feilding Sale
Associated Livo (Stock Auctioneers, Ltd., report that at Bcilding sale on Priday, tho 7th inst., there was a good entry of fat sheep, though only a few pons of quality, and a small yarding oi fat lambs. At Iho opening of the fat sheep sale buyers were cautious, but the market soon firmed and prices for both wethers and ewes, particularly the latter, showed a decided advance and practically every pen sold at auction. Bat lambs maintained late rates. (Store sheep came forward in moderate numbers and comprised chiefly ewes in lamb which sold with little alteration iu ligures, tho few pens of ewe hoggets meeting with good competition, and almost the whole yarding cleared. Bat cattle pens were well lillcd but only a few showing finish, and last week’s prices held firm and almost a total clearance' was effected. Bor the lair entry of store cattle there was rather better competition and only an odd lot passed under the hammer. Bairy cattle were yarded, in large numbers and prices generally showed an improvement, more particularly in heifers and cows close to profit.
