Peace in India A Long Way Off
SIR JOHN MONASH’S VIEW PERIL TO EMPIRE United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph. —Copyright. MELBOURNE, April 6. Sir John Monash, who has returned from India after representing, the Commonwealth at the inauguration of New Delhi, declares that peace in India is still a long way off. Ho adds that if those who arc agitating succeed in their demands, India will be able to make treaties with other countries which will deprive the Empire of its commercial safety.
