Car Skids Over Bank

DRIVER SERIOUSLY INJURED. As it was passing another motor ear at Mohaenui, on the Te Kuiti-New Plymouth main road on Friday, a car driven by Mr George Preece, of Hawera, skidded and fell over a precipitous bank. Mr Preece received a severe scalp wound and was removed to. the Te Kuiti Hospital, where his condition was later reported to be serious. Mr Preece was driving northward when tho accident oecurcd at a spot about 20 miles south of Te Kuiti. Tho only passenger in the car, Mr Allan Good, of Hawera, received a severe shaking, suffering afterward from shock, but his condition was reported to be not serious.
