Will Not Follow Soviet Russia
CANADIAN LABOUR PARTY’S DECISION. Received Sunday, 9.50 p.m. MONTREAL, April 4. The Labour party of Ontario refused to recognise Soviet Russia as an ideal to follow by the Labour movement of Canada at the annual Convention, delegates deleting the following clause from a resolution before the Convention: “The Labour party recognises that Russia is endeavouring to establish a Socialist republic and at this time is making a valued contribution to Socialist thought and idealogy.”
