PROGRESS OF LEGISLATION

SYDNEY, Dec. 18,

The rationing of employees, except by the Crown, will be prohibited as the. result of an amendment to tho Forty-four Hours’ Bill carried iu the Legislative Assembly. Members of tho Police Force will be the only Public Servants to escape from the Government’s rationing policy. The Bill passed all stages, and the House adjourned until January 20. The Legislative Council passed the Unemployment Relief Tax Bill for the prevention and relief of unemployment. Tho Bill and tho Stato Lotteries Bill were adjourned to January 20.
