Morning Wedding at All Saints’ Church

SKOGLUND—SMITH.

The wedding was quietly celebrated in the “Lady Chapel,” All Saints’ Church, yesterday morning, of Olivo Kathleen, youngest daughter of Mrs Smith, Church street, Palmerston North, and of the late Charles Smith, and Phillip Oscar, elder son of Mr and Mrs P. Skoglund, ot Stratford. The Rev. Canon G. Y. Woodward was the officiating clergyman. The bride, who was given away by Mr R. M. McKnight, of Palmerston North, was becomingly attired in a frock of mushroom georgette simply trimmed with kilted frills of the same material. Her hat was of lace straw in the same shade and she carried a bouquet of delphiniums and fern. In attendance were her three small neices, Betty and Jill Reed and Annette MacMillan. All three maids wore sleeveless frocks of flowered satin in pale and delphinium blue with cream georgette collars and rosettes of blue velvet. The two elder girls wore summer felt to tone with their frocks, Annette wearing a little straw hat. They all carried sweet posies of dephiniums and maiden hair fern. Mr Charlos Reed, nephew of the bride, attended the bridegroom. . After the ceremony the relations and .a few friends were entertained at the residence of the bride’s mother, Mrs Smith receiving her guests wearing a frock of black crepe de chine relieved with white, a smart black hat and black silk coat. She carried a bouquet of. deep pink sweet peas, roses and maidenhair fern. Mrs Skoglund, mother of the bridegroom, wore an ensemble of tabac brown celanese, a brown Bangkok hat with floral trimming and she carried a bouquet of pink roses and sweet peas. Mrs Reed, who assisted her mother, wore a frock of pale bluo floral crepe de chine and cream hat with Oriental trimming. She carried a bouquet of crimson carnations and African daisies. Mrs MacMillan, another sister of the bride, wore green floral crepe de chine and a black pandan hat. Mrs Peter Skoglund (Wellington) was in 'a black tailored costume aud white felt hat. Miss L. Skoglund, sister of the bridegroom, wore beige crepe de chine with pipings of brown and brown hat, while Miss M. Skoglund, another sister was in navy georgette with heige collar and vest and navy Bangkok hat. Mrs McKnight wore a black ensemble and black Bangkok hat. When the bride and bridegroom left later for the South, the bride travelled in a fawn tailored costume with smart hat of mushroom straw.
