Ho was unable to attend at Dublin to receive his cheque as he was attending his father’s funeral in London, his father having died suddenly during the week. Dawe of Vancouver has not yet sent word how the second prize should be paid to him. Remittance to Canada presents legal difficulties and it is not known whether Dawe intends to come to Ireland to collect his money. The Worksop widow who won £20,000 has also had a bereavement as her brother died on Thursday as a result of a. motor accident.
