NOCTURNAL WARBLER’S VIGOROUS SERENADE. The lusty notes of a bird singing in one of the trees in the Square near the Grand hotel at 2 o’clock this morning brought to two members of the “Times” staff visions of the discovery of otic of the nightingales recently liberated in New Zealand. Notwithstanding the steady rain the wideawake warbler continued his contribution to “Music Week” regardless of the fact that he was the only musician in this latest of cities to do so. For quite awhile the two newspaper men showed their appreciation of his efforts by standing under the the tree listening to the liquid notes and trying to identify the songster.
