Basketball Match At Girls’ Flack House

On Saturday afternoon the High School company of Girl Guidos sent a basketball team to try conclusions with the Girls’ Flock House team and, after a most strenuous game, in which the sides were very evenly matched, the home team won by 17 goals to 15. The Flock House team was as foiParkcs, Alice Clarke, Clara Robertson, Parkes, Alice Clarke, Clra Robertson, Gwen Snowden, Mary Ward, Dorothy Kay, Marion South and Elsie Ring. The Guide team comprised Joyce Holywell (captain), Joan Currie, Dorothy Bagnail, Norie Bagnall, Marjorie Stuart, Patricia Edwards, Marcella Edwards, Joyce Rosanoski and Dell Free. Goals for Flock House were scored by Clara Robertson and Dorothy Kay, and for the Guide team by Dorothy Bagnall and Dell Free. Miss Joyce Mawhinney officiated as referee. After the match delicious afternoon tea was provided by the Flock House girls and a very happy afternoon finished np with everyone participating in a friendly game of hockey and cheers for all concerned being lustily given by the two teams.
