Young Women’s Christian Association

NATIONAL SECRETARY IN " PALMERSTON NORTH. Miss Leila Bridgman, national girls’ work secretary of tho Y.W.C.A.. arrived in Palmerston North last evening and will remain in this ccntro for about three weeks, during which time sho will bo chiefly engaged in organising work. Time will bo found for social functions and this evening a welcome will be tendered to Miss Bridgman in tho club room by the girls of the Y.W.C.A. and associated institutions. On l'riday afternoon sho will bo the guest of honour at a “women’s at home,” also at tho club room, when Mrs H. Sinclair, president, will be tho hostess. The first mother and daughter banquet to bo held by the Palmerston North Y.W.C.A. will' take place on Thursday evening of next week, when Miss Bridgman will the gathering. During her visit to Palmerston North Miss Bridgman will bo the guest of the girls’ hostel.
